Announcing the arrival of our new cousin ??????????. We are so glad he is here finally, safe, but without a name currently. My other sister TIffany and I along, with her baby, and the twins drove 2 1/2 hours to see him today, then ran around the hospital (luckily it is so small there are no visiting restrictions) had a hamburger and headed home, another 2 1/2 hours. It all went smooth and we had a lot of napping--but it was well worth the drive. He was 7 lbs. 13 oz. and both he and Mom are doing well, way to go Meg!

Piano Recital
Tonight we had our Spring Piano Recital, all of my students were able to participate and they did so great. We haven't had a recital for a while, but they are so worth it because it gets the kids used to performing and makes me feel like they have improved. I made them all bow or curtsy after they performed and that was the hardest, but most endearing part. My niece Hali (on the front row in the red and black) did especially awesome-Good Job, Hali!

A month in review...
I've been a bad blogger lately, so I plugged in my camera to see what I have missed. Here is our month in a few words, and a lot a pictures.

Paige had a Cowboy/Cowgirl fashion show at preschool this month, she did some fancy turns, which ended in falls. She still looked very cute, but we might be signing up for dancing this Fall.

Lots of soccer games, Weston is finally catching on to a few things (like scoring goals is fun) and told us he is the fastest on his team. He is fun to watch, just ask the twins, they get fed a lot of food by all the parents on the team.

And..... this cute girl......

did this to her sheets,

this to her crib,

and ruined her clothes,
but we still love Bag Balm. Without it we would surely have crusty cheeks, red and overwiped noses, and sore bums.
P.S. My updates will be scarce for a while because I am doing some grading online for the month of May, which means before my kids wake up, during naps, and after they're in bed. I don't feel a clean house coming on. (or a nap...sad)

And That's No Bull...or is it?
I need to post a few of my one hundred and one Easter pictures, but I had to update all the fun we had today first. We finally got our bull butchered, and here is the result. It was quite the two hour chore to get all the meat in from the van, then down to the deepfreeze, not to mention that meant cleaning both freezers out first to fit it all. But we will be missing our dear bull, his spoiled tantrums when Tyler would leave for work without graining him and he would pout around the yard until I would go out and lure him back in the pen with grain, but mostly I will miss the twins' fear of the bull, because I got a lot done with him around. I could leave the house by myself six or seven times a day to take garbage out or any small chore without a tear from them, if I said those magic words, "I'm going to feed the bull, stay here."

Self-Control

These are the devil and I lack any self-control when they are in the house. My friend Laura gave me a bag of them, the big ones you get at Sam's Club (40 oz.) on Friday, and six days later-completely gone. Paige hates them, Weston ate a few, and the twins ate a handful. The honors go to me, and the roof of my mouth just healed.
