Camping, A Wedding, and whatever else was on my camera...

My youngest brother, Clayton and Kirstin, got married over Memorial Day Weekend. It was a beautiful wedding, Paige and Anna got to be flower girls. Owen and Xander were the ringbearers. Xander did great, but Owen couldn't handle the job of standing through the entire ceremony. He was quite a distraction, but hopefully Tyler and I were the only ones paying attention to him. It does make a parent kind of nervous to have a 2 year old carrying the bride's ring and flinging the little pillow all over the place. Oh, and get ready for pictures, we were there a long time. (My mom made the cute dresses, I loved the orange.)

Xander, the well-behaved ringbearer.

My parents, Clayton, and Kirstin.

There was dancing...

Undressing...

Time-outs...

Because they just can't help themselves.

What a party!

Leaving all this to go home and get ready for the wedding= kids not happy.

Spring 2010 piano recital. I had 11 students, one is missing and my friend, Laura, had a student perform with us.

They love a good pair of boots.

Our soccer season came to a close, we had a fun team and three tough girls who battled it out against the boys with us. Weston is a good team player and he loves to play goalie.

Uncle Brayden gave Owen this saddle that his Grandpa gave him when he was this age. Owen loves horses so much, we had to finally take the saddle out to the shed because he wanted it on his bouncy horse all day long and it just wouldn't fit well and stay straight--which makes that kid crazy. Today I spent the morning and lunchtime calling Owen and Anna by the names of Mitch and Heather (my brother and his fiancee). They love to play married couple.

Paige learned to ride her bike on Saturday without training wheels. We put her on, gave her a push and off she went. No wobbling or anything!

Last couple of weeks...

Tyler likes to make sure Weston rides a sheep whenever possible to practice up for the rodeo.

We helped the Wallentines round-up, brand, and vaccinate the cattle. Owen was so excited and talked non-stop about it beforehand. He was pretty scared of the whole situation once he got there and took it all in. Now that it is over he keeps asking me when he can go and burn the cows again. He got a new hat and this is where I found it the first night. In his prayers, which, "he can do by himself", he usually prays, "Please bless that I can ride the horses." He stays pretty focused on what he likes.

We had a shower for Kirstin and the kids were plenty of help. Anna loves to be the center of the party and any open lap usually has her name on it.

Ward Talent Show

Some fine ladies and I participated in the Ward Talent Show recently. Tyler was pretty worried about the whole thing, he just knew he was going to be embarrassed. But, these remarkable cows/heifers, pulled through and were pretty dang amazing. I think our dance was the best and I would have video to prove it if my husband hadn't pushed pause for the entire performance. (No hard feelings, he only has to video something once every 3-4 years, I don't feel like he let me down at all.) We really do know how to shake our udders, whether that is appropriate for church activities or not.
Weston is playing soccer this year and I thought he could use the same cleats from last year. He complained that his toes were sore after the first game. So, I of course told him I would get him some new cleats when I went to Logan that week. Well, I forgot for the next two games and then in the tub he told me his toenail was blue, but that it didn't hurt too much. What a great Mom I am, needless to say, he got new cleats the next day.

And now it's April....

We have been busy with Easter egg hunts, wishing for warm weather, and a wedding. This is a post of few words and many pictures.

It's amazing how many fingers go straight to the nose when it is picture time.

Tyler's youngest brother Jeremy and Heather were married this month. They had a beautiful wedding, and we are so excited to have her join our family.

February in a Nutshell

Our week has been busy. My sister, Tiffany, went to Hawaii and we had her 3 kids for the week. This is Zella and I didn't want to give her back, when they went home we all sat here and felt like we were missing children. We had a great week with them! Who could ask for a better baby, she takes two hour naps and sleeps 10 hours a night. (And she loves me best.) Nice girls like that make me baby hungry, hmmmmm, maybe.

We threw a surprise party for Tyler's mom. My 6 sisters-in-law all got together and performed an old Vistaun number for her, we had a lot of fun practicing and laughing about ourselves--she loved it.
(I would post a picture, but some of my anti-blogging sil's wouldn't sign release forms, sorry)

Weston finished up his basketball season.

Tyler ropes every Friday night, so since it has been warmer, we joined him a couple times this month. All I have to do is remind Owen he has to be nice to go to the arena, and he is the perfect child. He loves horses, he has a hold of the reins here with his Uncle Jeremy. From the moment this kid wakes up, he worries about what he is going to wear. It has to be jeans (cowboy pants he calls them), I have convinced him that all jeans are cowboy pants, then a shirt which has to be his choice, and white socks. White socks because that is what he knows his dad put on to go to work in. Then, thoughout the day he pees a little in all his jeans until they are all in the hamper and we go the rounds about the sweat pants he now has to wear. I hid all his basketball clothes because I couldn't take that anymore. I wish he would grow out of this obsession and just wear whatever I handed him, 2 year olds should not have such an opinion on their clothes. Nor should their mothers let them get away with it, we both have a problem.
